My priorities
Real results on the issues neighbors raise at every door: safety, clean streets, housing, and a City Hall that listens.
Public safety is personal to me. Families, seniors, students, workers, and small business owners should be able to live, walk, and gather without fear. My focus is on prevention, faster response, and accountability so safety efforts lead to real results, not empty promises.
Clean streets and well-maintained public spaces are essential to neighborhood safety and quality of life. I will push for faster graffiti removal, cleaner sidewalks, better lighting, and stronger coordination between city departments so residents see progress, not excuses. Basic city services should work reliably in every neighborhood.
Housing should support families and seniors without overwhelming neighborhood character. I support responsible housing near transit and commercial corridors, with strong protections for seniors, tenants, families, and long-time residents.
I do not support the proposed Marina Safeway tower or the current 3333 and 3700 California Street proposal as designed. Growth must come with public safety, infrastructure, traffic planning, emergency access, and real community input.
San Francisco should be the best place to raise a family and age with dignity. I will advocate for safe routes to school, safer streets near campuses, after-school and youth programs, and stronger protections for seniors.
When schools face credible threats, the City and School District must respond quickly with clear safety plans, parent communication, and appropriate safety screening when needed. Families, seniors, students, and residents deserve a city that listens, responds, and protects them.
Small businesses are the backbone of our neighborhoods. San Francisco must cut unnecessary delays, simplify permits, and review costly City mandates that hit businesses with fewer than 50 employees especially hard.
The City's vandalism relief program currently reimburses up to $2,000, which is rarely enough after broken windows, property damage, higher insurance costs, and lost business days. I will fight to raise relief grants to at least $10,000.
No neighborhood restaurant should lose a large share of every order to excessive platform fees. Small businesses need leadership that protects them, not only corporate interests.
I am running as an independent candidate because District 2 deserves leadership that answers to residents, not insiders. Accountability starts with transparency, honesty, and follow-through. City Hall must listen before decisions are made, not after residents are already frustrated.
As an appointed San Francisco Immigrant Rights Commissioner, I have worked on language access, community trust, seniors, families, and city services. Language should never be a barrier to safety, housing help, public benefits, emergency information, or basic city services.
I support reliable transit, safer streets, and accessible infrastructure for all. Transit funding must be transparent and balanced so Fire, EMS, and emergency response are never weakened.
